Project: Private Residence｜Ranma Kumiko: Art Kumiko (Obi-type)
Concept
An Obi-type kumiko composition was created for the ranma of a private residence.
Asanoha, Goma, and Sakura motifs are arranged in flowing bands,
bringing together the distinct tones of hinoki, black cherry, and walnut.
The interplay of pattern and natural wood creates delicate layers of light and shadow as light passes through.
Traditional auspicious motifs are reinterpreted as a refined architectural detail that blends quietly into a contemporary residential interior.
