Concept
Still water, gently disturbed by the ripples of a single drop.
That subtle movement is captured in Kumiko,
like a “Poem of a Droplet.”
52,680 individual Kumiko pieces.
Four types of wood and five patterns come together to create a delicate expression,
quietly inhabiting a panel spanning 10 square meters.
As light and shadow gently shift across the wood,
its expression changes with them,
bringing depth and a lingering sense of calm to the space,
and quietly settling the mind of those who enter.
